The goal of the projects is to make Ukrainian products competitive and in demand in new international markets, expanding the assortment and increasing processing volumes.

"Fortification" (enrichment) of flour with vitamins and minerals to improve public health worldwide has become a common practice implemented in over 80 countries. International organizations advocate for fortified flour and purchase it for humanitarian programs, including providing food assistance to countries in Africa and Asia," note the authors in the statement.

"In the conditions of war and limited exports, low grain prices, the production of fortified flour will contribute to improving distribution channels and markets, expanding access for micro, small, and medium-sized grain-producing agricultural enterprises to flour mills, and establishing long-term cooperation," emphasizes USAID.

As part of the USAID AGRO program, funding for 15 projects is planned. Individuals wishing to participate in the grant initiative must register by August 21 to attend the pre-application online seminar scheduled for August 22. The deadline for submitting applications, including technical proposals, budgets, and required documents, is set for September 17.
